MyJ-GLOBAL

MyJ-GLOBAL is a free service for customers featuring alert and clip management features. The Contacting researchers feature on the researcher detailed information page is also available but only for users who are logged in to MyJ-GLOBAL.

1. Accessing MyJ-GLOBAL

1) Account registration

Access to MyJ-GLOBAL requires a registered account.
Enter your account information on MyJ-GLOBAL account creation screen. After verifying the MyJ-GLOBAL terms of use, click the “I agree with the terms of use above. Proceed to the confirmation screen” button.
Verify the accuracy of your details on the verification screen and click the Create account button.
An email will be sent to the registered email address. At this point the registration is not complete. Click on the link in the body of the sent email to complete the registration process.

Access to MyJ-GLOBAL requires a registered account.

2) Login

Enter the registered email address and password in the fields on the login page. Click the LogIn button.

3) If you forget your password

If you have forgotten your MyJ-GLOBAL password, click Forgot your password? on the login screen.
Your secret question will be presented to you. Provide your answer to generate a temporary password.

2. Using MyJ-GLOBAL

1) MyJ-GLOBAL Home

After logging on to MyJ-GLOBAL, clicking on MyJ-GLOBAL Login link in the page header will take you to MyJ-GLOBAL homepage.

The features available on MyJ-GLOBAL (Alerts, Clips, Viewed pages) are organized into tabs.
Clicking MyJ-GLOBAL tab will bring up a page that displays Alerts, Clips, and Viewed pages on one page. Details on the individual services are described beginning in 2) below.

2) Alert feature

This is a service that performs a weekly search of applicable targets based on predefined keywords and provides a list of detailed results that are displayed.
The Basic information Classes that can be accessed by the alerts service are academic papers, patents, and research topics.
The data search results from the last four data search updates may be viewed on the Alerts list page.

Alerts are registered on the Add an alert page. Clicking the Add an alert button on the Alerts list page will open the Add an alert page.

  • Alert title: Enter the title of the alert.
  • Basic information Class: Select the Basic information Class to be searched.
  • Keywords: Enter the keywords to be searched. Logical operators may not be used. Spaces will be recognized as part of the character string in the search.

Also, if Yes is selected for the mail delivery option on the Account management screen, the number of search hits will be sent via email.

3) Clips viewer

Basic information Class that are viewed frequently may be bookmarked as clips.
After logon to MyJ-GLOBAL, click the Clip this button on the search results list page or the detailed results page.

4) Viewed pages

Rankings for frequently viewed pages (Basic information Class) and operational histories may be checked.
Frequently viewed page rankings are tabulated from the history of the last three months.

5) WebAPI

WebAPI is an API that enables J-GLOBAL features to be used from other sites. An application to use WebAPI may be submitted from this page.

The options for the account are managed from this page including mail delivery, password changes, and closing of the account.

If the researcher has opted to allow contact inquiries, a button will be available for contacting the researcher directly.
