Overview:
G-compass is a browser intended for searching comparative genomes.
Conserved genomic regions between humans and another 12 vertebrates (chicken, chimpanzee, cow, dog, horse, medaka, mouse, opossum, rat, rhesus monkey, tetradon and zebrafish) can be visualized based on the original genome alignments. Annotations of human genes/transcripts originally come from H-InvDB, while the ortholog information come from the Evola sub-database. Use of the G-compass database is free of charge.
