Overview:
PTM-Switchboard is a database of known cases of TF-PTMs affecting gene transcriptions. This database contains triplets of genes as a primary data type about the model organism S. cerevisiae (budding yeast). PTM-Switchboard stores triplets of genes as a primary data type such that the ability of one gene (the TF) to regulate a target gene is dependent on a third gene (the modifying enzyme). Currently, this database is populated with experimentally characterized examples of the Modifier-Transcription Factor-gene (MFG) triplets manually curated from the literature. Furthermore, it provides a framework for searching and analyzing the data, and also serve to benchmark computational methods for identifying novel MFG triplets. The entire 'Gold Set' of fully characterized and experimentally validated MFG triplets is available for download in a simple tab-delimited text format.
