Overview：
This site offers the tabulated information of the GPCR (G-protein coupled receptor) genes of 56 eukaryotic species, from humans right down to budding yeast cells. For each of these species a detailed karyotype is offered indicating the position of each of the sequences identified. The list contains genes that are expressed in vivo as well as those that are lying dormant.
The processes by which the sequences were found and screened include a gene finder, sequence alignment, domain and motif assignment and a predictor of transmembrane helixes.
