Conserved Domains and Protein Classification

Conserved Domains and Protein Classification
Owning Organization:
  • NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information)
Resource classification: Data,Database
Tag (subject)  (1): Protein
Tag (data type)  (2): Image/Movie ,  Classification
Overview:
This site contains annotations and tools for protein domain structures. It is comprised of:
(1) Conserved Domain Database (CDD), which contains information on well-annotated multiple sequence alignment models for ancient domains and full-length proteins,
(2) CD-Search and Batch CD-Search for search domains in the Conserved Domain Database (CDD) and conserved domains on multiple protein sequences respectively,
(3) Subfamily Protein Architecture Labeling Engine (SPARCLE), which is a resource of the functional characterization of protein sequences,
(4) Conserved Domain Architecture Retrieval Tool (CDART) for search protein similarities based on domain architecture,r and
(5) CDTree for a helper application.
