ヒトは多種、多数の細胞で構成されている。細胞は多様に分化して高度な役割分担を行い、脳の活動など様々な高次の生命活動を営んでいる。視細胞などに見られるように、細胞分化に従ってオルガネラの形態と機能も大きく変化する。その分子機構を明らかにするとともに、小胞輸送(メンブレン・トラフィック)の高次生命活動における役割、疾病との関係について研究を推進したい。
