【課題】安定性に優れた生体内ホモシステインレベル低減用組成物、高レベルホモシステインの場合以外にも効果のある生体内ホモシステインレベル低減用組成物、および生体内ホモシステインレベルの上昇を抑制できる組成物を提供すること。【解決手段】ベタインを含有することを特徴とする生体内ホモシステイン低減用組成物および生体内ホモシステインレベル上昇抑制組成物。さらにビタミンB2、ビタミンB6、ビタミンB12、葉酸、コリン、メチオニン、カルニチンからなる群より選択される1種以上を含有する前記の組成物。本発明により、安定性に優れ、生体内ホモシステインレベルを低減でき、かつその上昇を抑制できる組成物が提供される。ホモシステインは、老化に伴う症状に関与すると同時に、動脈硬化やアルツハイマー病など多くの疾患の危険因子でもあり、本発明によって、これらの症状や生活習慣病を予防することが可能である。【選択図】 なし
