抄録/ポイント： 日本土壌微生物学会員である著者の,微生物によるキチン分解に関する研究取り組みについて紹介した。この中で,過去からの研究取り組みの流れ,メタゲノム解析技術進展に伴う研究進展への期待,モデル放線菌を用いての土壌中でのキチン分解に関する研究への着手について紹介した。
