抄録/ポイント： 被子植物の侵入および多様化に伴う日本における白亜紀フローラの変化に関する最近の研究成果をレビューした。日本の白亜系から産出する被子植物化石について大型化石と花粉化石に分けて紹介し,東アジアのおける被子植物の侵入時期と比較した。また,日本における被子植物侵入前後のフローラの変化について概要を報告した。これまでの化石花粉層序の研究で明らかになった日本における被子植物の出現と多様化の時期はアジアおよび欧米での記録とほぼ整合性があることが分かった。
