抄録/ポイント： 都会化とともに人の混雑が問題となっている。特に高齢者増加と合わせて考えると,群集の不均一性がその新たな特徴となっている。この不均一性は歩く速度の差に現れ,渋滞の一原因と示唆されている。しかし従来は混雑の定義がなく,その影響の定量化は難しかった。本研究では「混雑度」という定義を新たに紹介し,歩行速度の不均一性をパラメータとする実験を分析し,速度差が渋滞の可能性を高めることが定量的に示された。(著者抄録)
