  • 1995 - 1997 昆虫ーウイルス相関における相互応答機構を、昆虫と昆虫由来の培養細胞を用いて解析している。すなわち、宿主域決定、病原性発現および生体防御など、ウイルスと昆虫の相互作用の生物学的解析と、それに関与するウイルスと宿主細胞の遺伝子の単離、構造解析ならびに機能解析を行っている。
