2007 - 2009 本研究は、上名栗村古組の宗門改帳(1804-1870)と上名栗村古組の周辺農村の宗門改帳を主な素材とし、養子縁組を村落共同体の再生産戦略とする観点から、村落共同体と地域社会へのインパクトを分析する。さらに、奉公・縁組などのフォーマルな移動だけではなく、欠落を中心としたインフォーマルな人口移動に関する史料及び聞き取り調査も用いる。それにより、養子縁組が村落共同体と地域社会の人口再生産において大きな役割を果たしていたことを実証する。
