Research keywords  (1): 微生物が生み出す、血栓溶解活性を有する化合物、慢性炎症やメタボリックシンドロームなどを改善する化合物などについて研究しています。私達の発見した化合物の中には、既に動物モデルで、脂肪肝や脳梗塞への優れた治療効果が見出されているものもあり、現在医薬開発を進めています。また、最近では、癌と低酸素培養真菌の共培養上清中に、癌幹細胞の形質を有し、より腫瘍形成能の高い癌幹細胞亜集団(holoclone)の増殖抑制活性を見出し、活性物質の同定と、作用機序解析も行っています。
