【要約】【課題】 BET比表面積、細孔容積及び平均細孔径を所望の範囲に変化制御させることができるシリカゲルの製造方法であって、細孔径分布がシャープなシリカゲルを得ることができる製造方法の提供。【解決手段】 シリカヒドロゲルを乾燥してシリカゲルを製造する方法であって、前記シリカヒドロゲルの乾燥をバッチ式流動乾燥により行うことを特徴とするシリカゲルの製造方法。乾燥するシリカヒドロゲルの水分は例えば50〜80wt%の範囲である。また、バッチ式流動乾燥を、例えば、排気ガス温度が20〜150°Cの範囲となるように行われる。
