【要約】【課題】高い紫外線防御効果と伸びの良さを有し、安全性に優れ、青光りせず自然な化粧仕上がりの得られる化粧料を得ることを本発明の目的とした。【構成】厚み0.001〜0.2μm,アスペクト比30〜100の劈開化膨潤性層状粘土鉱物の表面を二酸化チタンで被覆してなる表面被覆薄片状粉体を配合する。劈開化膨潤性層状粘土鉱物としては、スメクタイト及びバーミキュライトが挙げられ、これらより1種以上を選んで用いる。また、二酸化チタンの被覆率は表面被覆薄片状粉体全体に対して80重量%以上とする。さらに、紫外線吸収剤を併用してもよい。
