支持基板と、二つの電極との間に、少なくとも発光層を有する有機物層を挟持した有機EL素子と、この有機EL素子からの発光を吸収して、可視光の蛍光を発光する蛍光体層とを備えた有機EL発光装置において、前記有機EL素子が、緑色系発光をする緑色系発光有機EL素子であり、かつ前記蛍光体層が、橙色系〜赤色系の蛍光を発光するものであるとともに、そのエネルギー変換効率が30%以上であることを特徴とする有機EL発光装置。
