【要約】【目的】 2次電池用電極及びその製造方法に関し、特に非晶質炭素材料を負極に用いた場合の高い容量を維持しながら、不可逆容量を軽減することを目的とする。【構成】 炭素原子に対する酸素原子の比率が0.4以下である非晶質炭素材料を用いた2次電池用電極であり、また黒鉛化材料を用意する工程と、黒鉛化材料に600°C以上で第1の熱処理を行い非晶質炭素材料を作製する非晶質炭素材料作製工程と、前記非晶質炭素材料に対して水素ガス中、あるいは水素ガスと不活性ガスの混合ガス中で熱処理を行う第2の熱処理工程とを有する2次電池用電極の製造方法である。
