【課題】従来の技術の問題点を解決して、従来のジシクロペンタジエン系エポキシドを用いたエポキシ樹脂では得られなかった、光学材料分野や電気・電子材料分野の改良特性が期待されるトリシクロペンタジエン系エポキシ樹脂の原料となる新規なトリシクロペンタジエンジエポキシドを提供する。【解決手段】本発明は、新規なトリシクロペンタジエンジエポキシドを提供するものであり、このトリシクロペンタジエンジエポキシドは、例えば、トリシクロペンタジエンと過酸化水素をニトリル化合物の存在下に、ピロリン酸塩又は炭酸塩の水溶液中で反応させることにより製造方法される。【選択図】 図1
