像担持体上に形成した各色トナー像を順次中間転写体に第1の転写をした後、該中間転写体上の多色トナー像を転写材に第2の転写をして最終画像を得る装置において、第2の転写位置で第1の加熱手段を有し、その加熱手段が線状発熱体からなることを特徴とする転写定着装置。
