【要約】【課題】 高強度においても延性および衝撃値に優れたばね用鋼を提供する。とくに引張強度1500 MPa以上の高強度においても十分な絞りと衝撃値を有するばね鋼を提供する。【解決手段】 重量%において、C:0.35〜0.85%、Si:0.9〜2.5%、Mn:0.1〜1.2%、Cr:0.1〜2.0%、Ti:0.005〜0.07%、N:0.001〜0.007%を含み、Ti重量%>4×N重量%であり、P:<0.020%、S:<0.020%に制限して、残部がFeと不可避的不純物からなる鋼を基本鋼とし、さらに、B、V、Nb、Ni、Mo、Cuを選択して含有する鋼。
