リチウムイオンを吸蔵・放出する材料からなる負極、またはリチウム、リチウム合金からなる負極と、正極と、非水溶媒に電解質を溶解した電解液とからなる非水電解液二次電池であり、正極活物質が一般式LiNiCoyMzO2(MはCr,V,Fe,Mnの群から選ばれる少なくとも一つの成分)で表される複合酸化物であって、x+y+z=n(0.95≦n≦1.05)、0.6≦nx≦0.9、0.1≦ny≦0.25の組成を有することを特徴とする非水電解液二次電池。
