【課題】ナデシコ科ダイアンサス属植物における,ナミハダニ(赤色型)に対する耐虫性の強弱を容易に識別できる方法を提供すること。【解決手段】ナミハダニ(赤色型)に対する耐虫性の強弱は葉裏表面から海綿状組織までの距離とナミハダニの口針の長さとの対比により識別することができる。すなわち、ナミハダニは成長に伴って口針が長くなることでナデシコ科ダイアンサス属植物の葉組織内部のより深くまで吸汁可能となり、耐虫性の強弱がその長さで判断できる。【選択図】図7
