【要約】【目的】アンモニア性窒素と硝酸性窒素とを含む水を触媒を用いて処理することにより、窒素成分濃度の低い処理水を効率的に得る。【構成】還元剤を添加して加温条件下接触処理した後、亜硝酸塩と過酸化水素とを添加して加温条件下接触処理する。【効果】還元剤の添加により、硝酸性窒素とアンモニア性窒素が窒素ガスとなって被処理水中から除去される。亜硝酸塩の添加により、アンモニア性窒素が亜硝酸性窒素と反応して窒素ガスと水になる。更に、アンモニア性窒素が過酸化水素と反応して窒素ガス、水及び水素イオンとなり、被処理水中の硝酸性、アンモニア性窒素が無害化除去される。
