【要約】【課題】マンガン酸リチウムと導電剤及び結着剤からなる合剤を二次元集電体表面に配してなる電池用電極において、電極の製造を容易にし、且つ少量の導電剤量でマンガン酸リチウムに効果的に導電性を付加し、高率充放電性能に優れる電池を提供する。【解決手段】導電剤に平均繊維径が1μm以下の黒鉛化炭素繊維を必須成分として含ませ、場合によって黒鉛粉末を更に含ませる。マンガン酸リチウムのa軸格子定数は8.150〜8.220Åのスピネル型が好ましい。

マンガン酸リチウムと導電剤及び結着剤からなる合剤を二次元集電体表面に配してなる電池用電極において、前記導電剤に平均繊維径が1μm以下の黒鉛化炭素繊維を含むことを特徴とする電池用電極。
