カラーフィルターを平坦化するための平坦化膜と、当該平坦化膜上に設けられた第1の電極と、前記第1の電極と第2の電極間に設けられた有機EL層とを備えた有機EL発光装置であって、 前記平坦化膜の外周部はテーパーを有する有機EL発光装置。
