光を出射する光源と、該光源から出射された光が入射されるライトバルブと、該ライトバルブからの表示画像をスクリ-ン上に投写する投写レンズと、前記ライトバルブを冷却するための冷却手段とを有する投写形表示装置において、前記ライトバルブの光出射側及び/又は光入射側にスペーサーを介して透明体を設け、該スペーサー及び前記透明体を用いて前記ライトバルブの光出射側及び/又は光入射側に密閉空間を形成したことを特徴とする投写形表示装置。
