【要約】【目的】 沈殿槽内の微生物担体を目詰まりのおそれなく処理水と分離できるようにした微生物担体を用いた廃水処理装置を提供すること。【構成】 微生物担体7を浮遊させた曝気槽1の出口付近に、曝気槽内の水流に沿って微生物担体を循環させる分離板6を、その下端に担体と分離された処理水流入用の隙間を設けて取り付ける。微生物担体7と浮遊汚泥は分離板6に沿って流れる水流に乗って曝気槽1内を循環し、分離板6と曝気槽側面との間に形成された隙間に流入した担体と分離された処理水のみをこの隙間から沈殿槽に送る。
