【要約】【課題】 100nm以下の粒径を持ち、不純物や欠陥のないチタン酸バリウム粒子の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】 チタン酸バリウムの製造方法は、蓚酸バリウムチタニル4水和物を酸素雰囲気で加熱する第1の工程と、第1の工程により得られた生成物を、減圧下で加熱する第2の工程からなる。第1の工程の加熱温度は300〜500°Cの範囲にあり、第2の工程の加熱温度は550〜800°Cの範囲にある。また、第1の工程では酸素を流し、第2の工程では10-3Torr以下に減圧する。第2の工程により得られた生成物の平均粒径は、10〜100nmの範囲にある。

次の工程よりなるチタン酸バリウムの製造方法。(イ)蓚酸バリウムチタニル4水和物を酸素雰囲気で加熱する第1の工程。(ロ)上記第1の工程により得られた生成物を、減圧下で加熱する第2の工程。
