【要約】【課題】 LED照明装置の薄型化を図り、屋内通路などの天井面に明り取り用の照明装置として直接取付けた場合でも、天井面から下向きに突出する寸法を小さくして天井部分の美観を損ねないようにする。【解決手段】 LED照明装置は、複数個のLED4と、LED4を点灯制御する点灯装置3とを具備し、LED4は点灯装置4と略同一面内であって点灯装置3の周囲に配置されている。したがって、点灯装置3とLED4とは、LED4からの光の放射方向である上下方向に重ね合わない配置状態となり、このLED照明装置は薄型化される。このため、このLED照明装置を屋内通路などの天井面に取付けて明り取り用として使用する場合、天井面に直接取付けても下向きに突出する寸法が小さくなり、天井部分の美観を損ねない。
