【要約】【課題】イメージインテンシファイアを用いなくても適正な蛍光診断用画像を得ることができる蛍光診断用電子内視鏡装置を、提供する。【解決手段】被写体に対して面順次方式にて撮像して得られた通常観察画像データ及び被写体に対して励起光が照射された時に得られた蛍光観察画像データは、夫々、PCへ送られる。PCは、通常観察画像データから輝度情報を抽出して第1の閾値よりも高い領域を抽出するとともに、蛍光観察画像データから第1の閾値よりも高い第2の閾値よりも低い領域を抽出する。PCは、これら抽出された両領域に含まれる領域を、異常領域を示す可能性が高い領域として特定する。

励起光を生体に照射することによって生じる自家蛍光の画像を撮像する撮像装置と、前記撮像装置によって撮像された自家蛍光画像のうち、輝度値が所定範囲内である特定領域を検出する検出部と、前記特定領域を示す画像信号を出力する表示制御装置ととを備えたことを特徴とする蛍光診断用電子内視鏡装置。
