Claim (excerpt)：

観察者の眼球を照明する照明手段と、該眼球の反射像を検出する受光手段と、該反射像を利用して観察者の視線方向を検出する視線検出手段を有する視線検出装置において、視線方向の検出が成功か否かを判定する判定手段、又は視線方向の検出精度の良否を評価する評価手段のいずれかを備え、前記判定手段もしくは評価手段の結果に応じて、該反射像の像出力信号を変更させる事を特徴とする視線検出装置。
