Claim (excerpt)：

正極と負極とからなる一対の電極と、その間に挟まれた電荷注入層と発光層とを有し、電荷注入層は電子注入層と正孔注入層の内の少なくとも一方からなり、発光層は電荷注入層に挟まれてなり、注入された電子と正孔を再結合させて所定の波長の発光を行うものであり、下記一般式(I)のナフチル-チオフェン系化合物を含むものであることを特徴とする有機薄膜発光素子。【化1】〔式(I)中、R1 ,R2 ,R3 ,R4 ,R5 ,R6 ,R7 ,R8 ,R9 およびR10はそれぞれ水素原子またはアルキル基を表す。〕
