被写体を撮影する2つ以上の撮像レンズと、この撮像レンズの各々が結像する像を光電変換する2つ以上の撮像デバイスと、この2つ以上の撮像デバイスからの電気信号に処理を施して合成することによって1つの映像信号を生成する映像信号生成部とを備え、前記2つ以上の撮像デバイスから出力される各々の被写体像が、互いに像の一部が重なるように前記撮像レンズを配置したことを特徴とする撮像装置。
