【要約】【課題】繊維径が太く、断面が円形で、水中溶断温度が低く、強度が高い低温水溶性太径の繊維を得る。【解決手段】 PVA系ポリマーを原液溶媒および固化溶媒として有機溶媒を用い、湿式あるいは乾湿式紡糸する際に、固化溶媒を所定量添加した紡糸原液を紡糸時所定の粘度とし、所定量の原液溶媒を含有する固化浴に紡糸し、所定の全延伸倍率とすることにより、本発明低温水溶性太径繊維を得る。本発明繊維は、例えば成形物の制御された空孔形成補助材料などに用いることができる。

ポリビニルアルコール系ポリマーからなり、繊維径が40〜400μmであり、水中溶断温度が0〜60°Cであり、強度が5Kg/mm2以上である低温水溶性太径繊維。
