医用画像を保管する保管手段と、前記保管手段に供給される医用画像が既に保管されている医用画像と同一であるか否かを判定する判定手段と、前記判定手段の判定結果に応じて、前記保管手段への同一の医用画像の重複保管を防止する防止手段とを具備することを特徴とする医用画像保管通信システム。
