【課題】 光触媒活性のばらつきを招くことなく、光触媒酸化チタンを製造し得る方法を提供する。【解決手段】 本発明の製造方法は、光触媒酸化チタン前駆体を水分と接触させることなく焼成したのち、100°C〜600°Cにて水分と接触させることを特徴とする。光触媒酸化チタン前駆体は、水酸化チタン、オルトチタン酸、メタチタン酸、酸化チタン、窒化チタンである。好ましくは冷却しながら水分と接触させる。冷却は30°C以上の温度差で行う。【選択図】 なし
