所定の方向の静磁場を発生させる静磁場発生手段と、前記静磁場に重ねて印加される傾斜磁場を発生させる傾斜磁場発生手段とを備えた磁気共鳴イメージング装置において、前記傾斜磁場発生手段は、複数のコイルエレメントを、前記静磁場の方向に直交する方向に積層した傾斜磁場コイルを備えたことを特徴とする磁気共鳴イメージング装置。
