炭素質電極からなる正極と負極との間にセパレータを配置して素子を形成し、該素子に非水系電解液を含浸させてなる電気二重層キャパシタにおいて、前記セパレータは、厚さ10〜80μmかつ空隙率50〜85%のシートと、厚さ10〜80μmかつ開口率30〜80%かつ目開き50〜350メッシュのネット状物からなるスペーサと、を重ねてなることを特徴とする電気二重層キャパシタ。
