【要約】【目的】 サイズ度、引張強度、伸び及び耐水性に優れ且つそのバランスの良い含浸紙及びガムアップを発生せずに前記含浸紙を得るための紙含浸用組成物を提供する。【構成】 メタクリル酸及びこれと共重合可能な単量体を、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルプロペニルエーテル硫酸エステルアンモニウム塩を含有する水性媒体中で重合してアルカリ可溶性重合体の中和物を得、このアルカリ可溶性重合体の中和物の存在下に、スチレン、ブタジエン及びグリシジルメタクリレートを乳化重合して得られる水性重合体分散液からなる紙含浸用組成物を得る。この紙含浸用組成物を用いて含浸紙を得る。

エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸及びこれと共重合可能なその他の単量体を重合して得られるアルカリ可溶性重合体の中和物10〜200重量部の存在下、単量体混合物100重量部を乳化重合して得られる水性重合体分散液を必須成分とする紙含浸用組成物。
