【要約】【目的】 リチウムイオン二次電池の容量維持率を改善する正極活物質を提供することを目的とする。【構成】 一般式LiCoO2で表現されその結晶構造は六方晶系であるリチウムイオン二次電池用正極活物質の格子定数のc軸長を14.051オングストローム以下とする。原料のコバルト酸化物の結晶子径は(222)ベクトル方向に50〜400オングストロームの範囲のものを使用し、リチウム塩のLi/Co比が0.98〜1.01の範囲となるように混合して焼成することで得る。
