【要約】【目的】 スパッタ磁気ディスクに使用される磁気ディスク基板において、平面性に優れた磁気ディスク基板を安価に製造することができないという課題を解決し、高密度記録が可能であり、かつ低コストである磁気ディスク基板を提供する。【構成】 セラミック製基板1の上に、粒径が1μm以下であるSiO2微粒子2と低融点ガラス3の微粒子を混合した塗料を印刷し、さらに低融点ガラス3の溶解温度で熱処理を行って磁気ディスク基板を製造する。【効果】 CSS特性が極めて優れており、信頼性の高い磁気ディスクを得ることが可能となる。
