Examination of seasonal changes on Hashishitanoyu in Shima spa
2000 - 2000
The temperature, quantity and chemical components of hot spa water were examined in Hashishitanoyu in Shima Spa for 2 years from April, 1998 to March 2000. As the result, variation was detected in many chemical components. The strong positive correlation was observed among major components. The variation of components appeared to be attributed to contamination of ground water with high contents of sulfuric ions. The variation was also observed in temperature and quantity, and both have a positive correlation with a significant level of 1%. The variation of quantity showed a similar pattern as that of rain fall. No year-to-year change was observed in the temperature, quantity and chemical components.
