Determination of residual solvent in natural food additives

Research overview:
Some food additives are made from plants or other natural products byextracting with organic solvent. But a quality standard for residual solvent in these food additives are not yet established in Japan. Thisstudy will be conducted to establish analytical method to determine residual solvent in food additives or food additive preparations, and to survey residual solvent in the ones which are commertially available in Japan.
