Research overview:
On the new semi-positive vibration control method by which vibration of the structure is attenuated by controlling the rigidity of the structure or controlling the attenuation power of the damper, the passive vibration control utilizing the attenuation effect by coulomb friction or adhesive property, and active vibration control, theoretical and experimental studies are performed using mainly truss structures. This year, the isolator using the functional material liquid crystal ER liquid is prepared by trial and by measuring its property the semi-active vibration control method to insulate the vibration generated by the vibration source such as the momentum wheel installed in the satellite from the satellite body has been performed. The high precision test has been performed on the mechanism of the passive vibration control effect by the polyimido membrane having an adhesive layer and the conventional mathematical model was improved using that result.
