Research overview:
The quantification method of the active species such as OH radicals playing important rolls in the accelerated oxidation treatment using ozone, UV, hydrogen peroxide, ultrasonic, photo catalyst etc. is investigated as well as optimizing the condition of the accelerated oxidation treatment and investigating on the high efficiency treatment system. In this year, the first year, the amount of OH radical generated in the accelerated oxidation treatment is comprehensively quantified using ESR, chemiluminescence method and hydrogen peroxide quantification method and the optimum condition is investigated by considering the correlation with the treatment efficiency. In the second year, the simultaneous use with current treatment method such as biological treatment is investigated to establish the highly efficient and compact treatment system using actual wastewater.
