Research overview:
Current major research subjects are 1) development of drastically weight-reduced structures for next generation supersonic transport and reusable space vehicle and 2) enhancement and continuation of safety and integrity for structures of aerospace vehicles. The Center is emphasizing the cooperative research on the development of new structures for satellite and space vehicles with the National Space Development Agency of Japan. Investigation on aircraft accident is conducted in response to the request of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Commission of Japan. (k2001.10)
