Research overview:
1) TARGET: Establishment of basic technology for the molecular design, synthesis, materialization and evaluation of silicon-base polymer materials to implement their electronic and optical functions, heat resistance, combustion resistance, and mechanical performance. 2) PLAN: (a) Examination on technology for synthesis, polymerization and materialization to develop silicon-base polymer structural materials and silicon-based polymer materials exhibiting electronic and optical functions. (b) Examination on technology for the synthesis and doping of polymers capable of forming electronic circuits. (c) Examination on the polymerization catalyst, polymerization reaction mechanism, thermal decomposition, and combustion mechanism of structural materials to develop a heat-resistant and high-strength polymer structure.
