Mission analysis of Mercury orbiter by chemical propulsion

Study period:1998 - 2000

Research overview:
We examined a Mercury rendezvous mission on the assumption of using chemical propulsion. We gave knowledge for the design of an exploration vehicle by examining from the viewpoint of observation the interplanetary orbit along which the vehicle makes many swing-bys around Venus and Mercury after the launch and reaches Mercury, a method to finally launch the vehicle onto the observation orbit around Mercury and an orbit change in an orbiting phase.
