Molecular evolution of MHC boundary regions in Lemuriformes and other prosimians

Research overview:
The regions corresponding to MHC boundary regions are amplified by PCR and sequenced mainly in Lemuriformes which are prosimians lived in Madagascar. From this, phylogenic analysis of prosimians is carried out and molecular evolution of whole primates is discussed. The regions amplified by PCR are the corresponding regions of genes (PBX and CTG and so on) found in the boundary regions of MHC class II and III in human. The primers are designed to amplify parts of each gene for human genome and are gifted by National Institute of Genetics.
