Study period:1997 - 2001
Research overview:
Population engaged in agriculture in Iwate prefecture has been decreasing, now, becoming one fourth under forty years old people in agricalture and getting older in unbelieble rate. It is urgent to develop the mechanized technology in the culture, especially vegetables, with less labored and light operation. Vegetables raised outdoors are susceptible to damages caused by repeated culture, therefore, it is requisite to develop the rotated raising system. Our goal is to examine the conditions and their effects on environment and management by demonstrating that in raising cabbageas and radishes outdoors, less labored mechanized system might work and systematic approaches that work consecutively in mechanical rotated field culture.
